-how to structure a kids' yoga class

-how to approach asana, breathwork and pranayama

-some key tools for classroom management/ directing energy so your yoga class stays educational

-a breakdown of developmental stages (a class for 5 year olds is way different than a class for 12 year olds!)

When you love yoga it can be a joy to share it with children.

In this workshop, participants will learn tools, techniques and philosophies for teaching yoga to the next generation, focusing on grades K-5 (ages 4-12) with some discussion of upper grades. We will discuss developmental stages and learning styles for optimum teaching, lesson planning and curriculum development, how to teach pranayama and meditation to children, approaching philosophy in the kids classroom, combining classroom management with yoga, and the differences between studio and school culture. Participants will leave with tools and a greater understanding of the current landscape of kids’ yoga.
